I got a 32 inch samsung un32c6500 from HHGregg prior to I again it for this Sharp. They let me have the samsung for $975 plus tax, and when I defined how TERRIBLE the backlight bleeding was on the samsung, the fellow let me alternate it for this forty inch Sharp led television straight up, which used to be awesome. There is ZERO backlight bleeding on this Sharp (at least on the one I obtained). The picture is improbable and I would certainly recommend it to any person in search of a perfect LED tv. Even though it is and edge-lit led, it has no backlight bleeding...so rare.

The Sharp the panels are only in Sony's top of line televisions, btw.
2) We didn't want 3D. We each think 3D television looks horrific, and is a was as soon aste of cash. Especially given the fact that Sharp's Aquos 3d televisions are $3,000 and up.
3) LCD is required as this was going to be used gaming, and I don't want to have to fret about burn in with a plasma. We have a plasma for films and we adore it, but I prefere LCD for gaming.
4)The panel is leading edge. The panel is made in a state-of-the-art facility in Japan. It is a UV2A, four main shade panel, and that imo, has one of the best image of any tv at the moment made. We spend various night times trolling retailers, and the Aquos used to be always the very best having a look TV.
5) Price. We sold ours for $1199 with a 4 year prolonged warranty, inconceivable price.
